Biography

A Leader In The Field of Natural Medicine

Dr. Peterson draws on his diverse education in chemistry, physiology, nutrition and the health care field to offer an innovative, fresh approach to health. He utilizes the latest scientific and medically documented methods to bring you the latest and best procedures, techniques and treatment.

Dr. Peterson has spent the past 19 years as a student, clinician, author, consultant and lecturer refining his techniques and expanding his horizons. He received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Northwestern Health University, formerly known as Northwestern College of Chiropractic in Bloomington, Minnesota. Upon graduation he and his wife, Elizabeth, also a chiropractor, moved to Colorado where they ran two successful clinics.

Desiring to raise their children closer to their family roots in Minnesota, the Petersons moved to Winona Minnesota in 1996 where they live in the country eating out of their organic garden during the summer months.

In his clinical practice, Dr. Peterson seeks to treat the whole person. He believes that treating the person that has a disease is a entirely different concept than treating a disease a person has acquired. Treatment recommendations are tailored specific to the unique biochemical, physiological, spiritual and emotional needs of the patient.

Dr. Peterson completes over one hundred hours of continuing education yearly in topics from acupuncture to zymosis. While other doctors are playing golf Dr. Peterson is working to improve his clinical skills. In addition to full-time clinic duties, Dr. Peterson spends 20 hours or more in personal study weekly, completing his coursework for a Doctor of Naturopathy degree as well as doing research for his Ph.D. dissertation in nutrition.

Dr. Peterson is a sought after speaker. He has spoken to small as well as large groups on a wide range of health topics. Topics have included The Health Advantages of Organic Foods, The Bible and Nutrition, Creating a Safer Work Environment and Natural Health Care.
